Wellx were looking for someone to build and own the technology function by bringing it all in-house.
They need someone who has seen scale and ability to hire, grow and mentor a team. They wanted to focus on ascending talent, someone who has the potential to become a VP in a short period of time and still hands on enough with a builders and makers mindset.
This person needed to have high technical acumen but also able to understand business problems, coming up with creative solutions. They needed to have worked in an unstructured environment and able to bring structure.
We devised a candidate deck which really centred around the purpose, mission and vision highlighting the impact this person could have end to end. We clearly emphasised on the career growth opportunity, which gave us a shortlist that excelled the expectations of experience.
We market-mapped over 50 companies and 75 candidates in the region that have gone through the various cycles of growth, from POC to MVP and have seen the full product lifecycle.
The areas that we indexed during the interview process were around quality, stability and scalability. We assessed where this person has led new product initiatives that have been successful, highlighting their impact on the customer journey and user experience.
